BHRM Chapter 1: Knowledge and Situational Awareness for Rating
情境意識(Situational Awareness, SA)是安全與效率的根本概念,源自於「情境報告」(situation report)。其核心在於,我們有效應對任何給定情境的能力,取決於三大獨立支柱的相互作用:理性知識、情感直覺與根深蒂固的本能。
1. 理性知識(意識層面)
理性知識是我們對事實和程序的意識層面理解。它是指在穩定條件下識別「正確」參數的能力——就像學生單純依靠知識自信地解答數學方程式一樣。它是所有專業能力建立的基石。然而,由於我們短期記憶的局限性,我們的意識大腦只能儲存非常有限的容量。
2. 情感直覺(潛意識過濾器)
直覺在面對不確定性時發揮的作用最強,能調用分析工具無法捕捉的默會知識(隱性知識)。我們的情緒狀態會在潛意識層面影響我們對事情優先順序的判斷。當我們感到不安或困惑時,大腦正在發出訊號,提示當前狀況與我們的預期之間存在偏差。這種「直覺/腸胃感覺」(gut feeling)往往在我們意識到問題所在之前,就已經決定了我們如何排定任務的優先順序。
3. 習慣本能(無意識反應)
本能主要表現為兩種方式:
* 習慣:流暢地執行既定程序(SOP),無需經過主動思考。
* 反射:在理性意識甚至還來不及處理事件之前,就立即採取行動。
兩者皆在無意識層面上運作;雖然它們能夠實現快速反應,但如果未經過訓練的適當制約與養成,其結果可能會難以預測。

Situational Awareness (sa) is a concept fundamental to safety and efficiency, rooted in the "situation report." At its core, our ability to navigate any given scenario effectively depends on the interplay of three distinct pillars: rational knowledge, emotional intuition, and ingrained instinct.
1. Rational Knowledge (The Conscious Mind)
Rational knowledge is our conscious understanding of facts and procedures. It is the ability to identify the "correct" parameters under stable conditions—much like a student confidently solving a mathematical equation through knowledge alone. It is the foundation upon which all professional competency is built. Due to our short-term memory limitations, our conscious mind can only store a very limited capacity of items.
2. Emotional Intuition (The Subconscious Filter)
Intuition activates most strongly amid uncertainty, accessing tacit knowledge that analytical tools cannot capture. Our emotional state influences our prioritization at a subconscious level. When we feel a sense of unease or confusion, our brain is signaling a discrepancy between the situation and our expectations. This "gut feeling" often dictates how we prioritize tasks before we have even consciously identified the problem.
3. Habitual Instinct (The Unconscious Response)
Instinct manifests in two primary ways:

Habit: Executing established procedures (SOPs) fluidly without the need for active thought.

Reflex: Taking immediate action before rational awareness can even process the event.

Both operate at an unconscious level, and while they allow for a rapid response, their outcomes can be unpredictable if they are not properly conditioned through training.
