Instructor’s Curriculum Vitae

Everything has nature in its way, just to grow than to possess.

Do as wish, think of NO fame or laughter.

Not for reputation or virtue but for duty to seafarers.

In ancient, we had Terrestrial Navigation,
Time past, we had Celestial Navigation.
Right now, we have Humanity Navigation.

Only wish can find its way without price of success or failure."

Broaden eyes with literature:
Wise heart to learn.
Ask  questions with humility.

Keep silent as a fool:
Reflect theory in one's own.
Develop new awareness.

So call,
Wisdom of study and
Purpose of life.

literature fool is my name.

This is a venture which had took me 20 years in research to reach the goal. A sailor who had come and seen and conquered 4 seas without leaving any dark side in his heart

For a cadet, he needs to find the way to reach his Captain Dream, a solid foundation is needed on the way up to there.

For professional mariner, they might want to see the whole map before he can find his One Piece without setback in any loophole which had not been told by any soul on Earth.

My ideas of these pursuits are Two. One is "Set a pilot chart to this Treasure Island in a dynamic ocean, they have to Cross headwind in dense Fire, they have to duck and go back and forth to find the clue to get through.
Another is like "Climb the pyramid with four stages togo up each need different life saving skills.... The candidate has to search every corner of stone to find the way up the top.

Yes, these are tedious work in our navigational watch with no immediate risk. Nowadays, seaman are overload with laws, STCW, MLC, etc... Only received texts book or procedures of what to do, they don't know why he has to do in this way or thatGilbert's way. And how he can make his life at seas better without saying 24 years of experience won't guarantee your success in the 25 years to come. It is this endless fear hounding and winding in my career which generates all these materials for seafarers.

My chapter are arranged in fuzzy Theory.  I meant to learn these necessary skill by rituals, repeat it again and again. This BRM is incorporated with my learning theory of seamanship. Something is going without saying, but appear again and again. The reason can never be clear unless you finally get main theme within. This is the true life we are living every day.
True motion is in radar lookout and relative motion is in visual lookout. The COLREG I touched is based on the study of EVER SMART case. The rules are the rules. Even the judge in admiralty courts will confuse with COLREG how can we expect Young OOW can know exactly what it means. Never mind, the watch has to carry on with proper procedures in lookout. More explanations will come along the way of reading. In ancient times, small children leaned Chinese classic books by reciting them without knowing what it means. In learning, conscious (knowing) and subconscious (unknowing) thoughts are mixed together like the hypnosis process (unforgettable).
The reader doesn't need to remember rule 1 or 2..... etc. I had recited every rule almost three times more for them. I was worried about you will complain about the Subject (I, we, our) in the sentence mixed with the party at the scene. This is an important technique in hypnosis to replace the Subject with the subconscious myself. If you can re-live in the scene maybe it implied you have projected yourself into the reading.  For a poor English foreigner like me, you can project yourself in the scene in the book it is a great compliment to me.
Chapter 3 is the Sanchi case for junior OOW. My ambition will be more clear in writing as I have no intention to hide it. This BRM included human element thought in it. Not only the circumstances of the case but also the psycho aspect will be within it. What they had in mind at that time. Give a more throughout reading experience to guide their feeling in the right direction when the situations arise.
